PED GIVES UPDATE ON SCHOOL RE-ENTRY PLAN
The Public Education Department updated the state regarding reentry plans for schools. As discussed last week, the schools in the green zones would be approved for re-entry, with yellow, orange, and red unable. Curry County remained in the “yellow” zone, with Roosevelt remaining in “Red”. Quay, Chaves, Lea and Eddy counties also do not fall within the green zone, which would allow for re-opening. Fort Sumner Schools will be allowed however, as De Baca County is in the “green” zone. The current data was based off the last seven days. The next evaluation will be 14 days.
