PAY OUT OF THE STATE’S SERVICE DEPARTMENT CAUSES SPECIAL STATE AUDIT
ALBUQUERQUE (KSMX)- State Auditor Brian Colon says he’s launching a special audit into how the state’s General Services Department paid out more than $1.7 million dollars in settlements. He’s specifically concerned with the way the payments were kept confidential and the timing of those payments.
In a statement he said, the payments of this size required extensive investigation and shouldn’t be used by any in authority to abuse the process.
