ON-GOING ARMED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
CLOVIS (KSMX)- On Friday, May 10th at about 10:43 a.m., Officers of the Clovis Police Department were dispatched to Payment 1 Financial, on North Prince street, for a report of an armed robbery. Officers were given a description of the suspect from victims, and told the suspect had stolen money, property and had fled the area. During the robbery, the suspect was waving what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect is described as light skin complex male who was wearing a dark blue jacket, light blue button up shirt, gray dress slacks, black dress shoes, wearing a glove on his left hand, and a light gray in color hat. The suspect is further described as being approximately 5’08” and weighing about 200 pounds. Officials stated, neither of the victims sustained any injuries. Officers and Detectives searched the area for the suspect but were not successful in locating him.
The investigation into this crime is ongoing.
