NO GRAB AND GO MEALS AT CHS FRESHMEN ACADEMY
Grab & Go meals will not be provided at the CHS Freshman Academy until further notice, due to a potential COVID-19 exposure. The closure will allow time for safe and appropriate cleaning, as well as provide time for staff members to self-quarantine and monitor for symptoms. During this time, meals will be available at all other sites, with Cameo Elementary School being the closest. Meals will also be halted at the iAcademy through the remainder of the semester due to low participation.
As a reminder, Grab & Go meals can be picked up at any of the District’s school buildings regardless of a child’s attendance status. Grab & Go meal distribution resumed at Yucca Middle School today, November 30 and meals will again be available tomorrow, Tuesday, December 1, at Barry Elementary School. All meal sites in the District have been observing public health guidelines and meals have been distributed through a contactless, walk-up distribution system.
Additionally, meals are prepared by staff wearing gloves and masks, eliminating human contact with food or packaging.
The District will not release further information or comment on specific COVID-19 cases due to privacy laws
