NMDOH TRYING TO EXPEDITE COVID TEST RESULTS
The dangerous spike in COVID cases statewide has led to more testing, which can lead to delays in receiving results.
NMDOH is taking action to close the gap in turn-around times. Both negative and positive test results will now be sent by email and text, expediting results to the public.
Everyone will be opted into this form of communication when they register for a test on the cv.nmhealth.org website. Therefore, it is imperative people provide a valid email and cell phone number when they register.
In the past, only those who tested negative and opted into receiving test results via text and or email were notified in this manner. Those who tested positive received a phone call.
NMDOH contact tracers will continue to follow up with a personal phone call to each positive individual.
