NMDOH SAYS FLU ACTIVITY IN NM HIGHER THAN OTHER STATES
NEW MEXICO (KSMX) – A new health report, says New Mexico has a high risk for flu, especially the extremely young. The State Department of Health study says cases of influenza in New Mexico children age four and younger are three times the national average. A high rate of hospitalizations in this age group was also noted during the flu season, where New Mexico had a 1.6 times greater rate of hospitalization compared to that of the other participating states.
