NMAA responds to the delay in in-person learning for schools

SANTA FE (KSMX)- After the announcement that schools will delay in-person learning until September 8, student-athletes were left with questions pertaining to the newly revealed NMAA sports schedule for the 2020-2021 school year.

NMAA Executive Director, Sally Marquez stated that this announcement “doesn’t change our goal”.

The NMAA revealed a tentative schedule that provides seasons for all 13 sports sanctioned by the Association. This announcement may shift some of the Fall Sports that were rescheduled for the Spring, however, Marquez stated that there will be sports for the 2020-2021 school year.
