NEWLY ELECTED OFFICIALS SWORN IN

NEW MEXICO (KSMX) – Just after midnight yesterday morning, the top job in the state was passed to Michelle Lujan Grisham as she took the oath of office. Lujan Grisham hit the ground running, announcing that it was time to spend more money on education as well as address climate change through the regulation of a booming oil industry and promotion of renewable energy. Here locally, newly elected public officials will be sworn in this morning at 8:30 a.m. at the Roosevelt County Courthouse by the Honorable Judge Donna Mowrer. The ceremony will be held in the District Courtroom on the 2nd Floor. A quorum of commissioners may be present; however, no County business will be conducted.
