NEW MEXICO SHOWING HIGHER THAN AVERAGE UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS
Numbers released from the New Mexico Workforce Department show that last month, the stated showed its highest unemployment rate since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic. According to the data, the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 12.7% in July, which is up from 8.4% in June and 4.8% from the same time last year. The unemployment rate for the nation was 10.2% in July, down from 11.1 in June and up from 3.7 in July of 2019. Losses came from both the public and private sector.
