New Mexico Public Education Department partners with Graduation Alliance

CLOVIS (KSMX)- At the end of March, New Mexico public education will shifted to a learn-at-home model as schools remain closed for the rest of the academic year. Though this decision was made in the best interest of students and their families during the ongoing pandemic, virtual learning has proved to be a learning curve to not just students but teachers as well.

In its efforts to make sure each student has the same opportunities, New Mexico’s Public Education Department has partnered with Graduation Alliance to provide an extra layer of support for students and families who might be struggling with these changes.

Graduation Alliance is an organization that provides academic and social-emotional support to help students realize their goals of earning a high school diploma. Students who choose to participate in the Engage program will get an academic coach to work with them to answer questions, connect them with resources, and develop a plan to get on track and finish the school year strong.

The program is completely free and students can reach out to 505.340.3250 or email to get started.
