NEW MEXICO NATIONAL GUARD WILL ALLOW TRANSGENDER INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE BEING EXEMPTED FROM NATIONAL POLICY

STATEWIDE (KSMX)- According to a spokesman of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, New Mexico National Guard members who are transgender will not be barred from serving. The current policy national requires troops to serve as the sex they were born as; however, the Trump administration policy doesn’t apply. Guard members are controlled by the state forces and therefore exempt from the existing policy.
