NEW MEXICO IS AMONGST LEAST PET FRIENDLIEST STATES
STATEWIDE (KSMX)- Whether they’re cats, dogs, hamsters, or other lovable critters, about 70% of U.S. households own a pet. SafeWise wanted to find out which states provide the safest and most welcoming environment for furry animals by digging into data from the Animal Legal Defense Fund, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bring Fido, and the nØkill Network to find the most and least pet-friendly states in the country for 2019.
New Mexico ranked #9 among the 10 LEAST pet-friendly states in the country. Oregon was ranked number 1 for most pet friendliest. This study took in many factors such as anti-cruelty laws, breed restrictions, and other legal insights.
