NEW LAW IN EFFECT FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO BECOME SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS

CLOVIS (KSMX)- Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has signed a new law into effect today that makes becoming a volunteer at a school or school event a little more extensive but expensive in New Mexico. Background checks will be vetted by the FBI for safety protocols including finger prints and national background checks. Prices for these background checks will raise the cost from $15 to $44.
