New hire in leadership role for CMS
CLOVIS (KSMX)- Heather Woodard has accepted the position of Director of Student Support Services.
Prior to coming to Clovis, Ms. Woodard worked in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as a Youth Treatment Counselor, Communication Skills Disorders (CSD) Paraprofessional, and an Affective Needs Special Education Teacher.
In 2012, she joined Clovis Municipal Schools as a Special Education Liaison and continues serving children in that position.
Ms. Woodard received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Criminal Justice in 2006, and a Masters of Criminal Justice in 2008 from New Mexico State University.
In 2012, Ms. Woodard enrolled in the Alternative Teaching License Program at Pikes Peak BOCES in Colorado Springs and obtained her Special Education Generalist and Elementary Education license. She received her Master in Education Administration from Eastern New Mexico University in 2019.
This vacancy was created by the retirement of Becky Johnson. Ms. Woodard will begin her new position on July 1, 2020.
