NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ISSUES HIGH WIND WARNINGS FOR EASTERN NEW MEXICO

CLOVIS (KSMX)- Wind speeds will ramp back up this morning shortly after sunrise across much of Eastern New Mexico area. Wind gusts between 60 and 65 mph are likely to stay through the afternoon hours. The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a High Wind Warning, which is in effect from 7 AM this morning to 7 PM MDT this evening. Affected areas are: Roosevelt County, De Baca County, Eastern San Miguel County, Central Highlands, Northeast Highlands, Curry County and Quay county.

Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
