MULESHOE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TOP CONTENDERS FOR NATIONAL CONTEST
CLOVIS (KSMX)- A group of Muleshoe Texas students have been 1 of 50 nationwide finalists that were invited out of 500 schools to be apart of the Vans Custom Culture contest. KCBD reports that art teacher, Alyssa Lopez entered her students back in January and had just gotten the results back. Each school was given two pairs of vans and instructions to design them not only to be creative but to also represent their schools. The students of Muleshoe’s art class used elements of a student’s wildlife photography and incorporated the Muleshoe landscape. Contestants entered in this contest are up for a $75,000 prize that will go to the art program in Muleshoe win. Voting for the Vans Custom Culture contest runs through May 3. The winners will learn if they have been chosen on May 14.
