MEETINGS UPDATE 2/21/19

CLOVIS (KSMX) – Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority meets today in Clovis. They are expected to discuss the next stage of pipeline construction. And its budget. The 33-inch pipeline project is projected to total nearly $28 million dollars when completed later this year. Its ultimately going to connect Clovis to the Ute reservoir. They’ll also consider annual contracts with consulting and maintenance companies.

Additionally, the Clovis City Commission is set to meet this evening at the Library. A number of items are on their agenda include a request for two waivers for the minimum distance requirements between a Church and proposed liquor license locations, a request for one citizen to serve on the Civil Aviation Board, and a request to develop a conceptual plan related to the PFAS/PFOA contamination near Cannon Air Force Base, with funding that would come from the Curry County Environmental Gross Receipts Tax. There is also a request to join a lawsuit against the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department, though a reason for the lawsuit was not given on the agenda. The City Commission will meet this evening, 5:15 p.m. in the North Annex of the Library.
