MANS MURDER TRIAL DELAYED AGAIN

CLOVIS (KSMX) – A high profile Clovis-area shooting trial is delayed again. 31-year-old Darryl Turner was supposed to go on trial this week for second degree murder in the death of David McDonald in September of 2017. Turner was indicted back in May of last year. This is the second time the trial has been continued. This time, the defense attorney said she is continuing to try to nail down an expert witness to testify on Turner’s behalf. McDonald was shot to death in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard. Turner fled to Sacramento, California, where he was eventually captured. The trial is now scheduled to begin February 25th.
