MAN ARRESTED FOR ABUSE, KIDNAPPING CHARGES

CLOVIS (ENMN) – New information on an armed robbery of an elderly man in Clovis last month. The Eastern New Mexico News reports that 31 year-old Geno Mendoza has now been arrested and charged with kidnapping, aggravated burglary and armed robbery for the November 7th crime. The victim was immobile and bound to a wheelchair, according to police. They say the man has a personal production license to grow medical marijuana. Mendoza is alleged to have bound the man with zip ties while he took clippings of the pot plants and other property. Mendoza is being held with no bond in the Curry County Jail.
