Major Crime Unit investigates death of man in Curry County

CLOVIS (KSMX)- Clovis police clear the area of 609 Dawn Loop and ask for information after finding a man dead.

On Thursday, May 28, at approximately 10:30 am officers of the Clovis Police Department were dispatched to 609 Dawn Loop for shots fired and a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers observed a male subject lying on the ground in front of the steps deceased.

At this time the area around the scene of this incident is secured while the investigation is taking place.  Please avoid this area, to allow officers and detectives to complete their investigation.

The investigation is being conducted by the Major Crimes Unit which consists of the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office Investigators, Clovis Police Department Special Operations Detectives, Curry County Sheriff’s Office, Portales Police Department and Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office.
