LOCAL TEACHER AWARDED WITH GOLDEN APPLE AWARD
CLOVIS (KSMX) – Staff and Students at Sandia Elementary School gave a big surprise to local teacher Roxanne Mitchell this week. Mitchell was awarded with the 2019 Golden Apple award for excellence in teaching. Only seven New Mexico elementary school teachers have ever been awarded with a Golden Apple. Arts Academy at Bella Vista teachers Shelly Grim and Christi Hartley were also recognized with the 2019 Teachers of Distinction Award for their distinguished contributions to education.
