LOCAL STUDENTS PLACE FIRST IN REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR
NEW MEXICO (KSMX) – Over the weekend, the Southeastern NM Regional Science Fair took place at Eastern New Mexico University. Of about 110 participants, the Portales and Clovis area was represented by 10 students, 9 of which are members of the ENMU’s STEM club. Five of the students, Noah Garcia, Tristen Pool, Justin Yan, Breet Grider and Braden Grider, placed first in their categories and will compete at the State Science Fair next month. Additionally, Noah Garcia received the Intel Excellence in Computer Science Award.
