Local area COVID-19 update
CLOVIS (KSMX)- New Mexico health officials reported 23 additional COVID-19 cases in Eastern New Mexico as the state saw an increase of 467 cases on Monday, marking the highest daily increase yet.
Curry County saw an increase of 16 cases of the virus bring the total case county to 395. Roosevelt County had 6 new cases reported bringing the total case count to 117.
Roosevelt General Hospital CEO, Kaye Green reported that Roosevelt County has reported 43 individuals making a full recovery and 119 recoveries in Curry County.
She also reported that because RGH is building a new emergency room, there will be a new routing plan for walk in patients needing emergency assistance in effect August 3.
