SANTA FE (KSMX) – In the legislative update, a measure that would push minimum wage to $10.00 this year has passed in the New Mexico House. It now heads to the senate. If approved, minimum wage would incrementally climb to $12 in 2021. Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham says it’s a step closer to a raise for more than 100,000 residents.
Also, in the House, Reps passed their version of a bill that would protect sensitive personal information from being shared by state employees. That includes tax and social security info, sexual orientation, disabilities and religion. It moves on to the senate.
