LAW ENFORCEMENT IN SEARCH OF SUSPECT IN POSSIBLE HOMICIDE
On November 2nd, 2021; at 8:02 P.M. Clovis Dispatch received two 911 calls back-to-back in reference to a juvenile male who had sustained a gunshot wound to his head. In a press release sent from the Clovis Police Department, the following has been reported:
The incident occurred at a residence in the 700 block of East 7th St. Officers arrived at the residence and located a 17-year-old male with a through and through gunshot wound to his head inside the home. The 17-year-old gunshot victim was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. The residence in question belongs to 21-year-old Theodore Avalos who has yet to be located.
At this time, the case is being investigated as a possible homicide and the Major Crimes Unit has been activated. Additional information will be released as details unfold.
