IRS WARNS OF TAX SCAMS
NEW MEXICO (KSMX) – We’ve reported before you need to beware with your taxes. That’s because tax time is also scam time. The IRS is issuing a warning and sharing some tips to keep you from being targeted. The IRS says there are reports, of requests for personal information such as social security number by email and text. There are some reports of requests for money, outright. There are some request by phone as well. If you aren’t sure, just visit IRS.gov for tips.
