INTERVIEW COMMITTEE SELECTS INDIVIDUAL TO FILL LEADERSHIP ROLE

CLOVIS (KSMX)- Corey Lucero has accepted the position of principal at Los Niños Early Intervention Center & the NM Pre-K Program.

Ms. Lucero began her career with Clovis Municipal Schools in 2013 as a special education teacher.

In 2016, she taught first grade at Sandia Elementary and in 2018 moved to a kindergarten classroom where she is currently serving students. In the summer of 2018, Ms. Lucero served as the K-5+ administrator for the District.

Ms. Lucero received her Bachelors’s in Early Childhood Education in 2013 from Eastern New Mexico University and a Master’s in Education Literacy in 2016 from Wayland Baptist University. Last year, Corey completed her administrative license through the Principal Leadership Development (PLD) program with Cooperative Educational Services.

Ms. Lucero will begin her new position on February 18th.
