INSURANCE OPEN ENROLLMENT CLOSING SOON
NEW MEXICO (KSMX) – BeWellNM, New Mexico’s health insurance exchange, said that residents are still relying on them within the preferred insurance marketplace. The Affordable Care Act health insurance reports show that more than 68,000 New Mexicans submitted an application through BeWellNM, and of those nearly 50,000 selected a plan. Around 87 percent of those were able to purchase insurance with the assistance of the advance premium tax credit. Consumers can enroll during this year’s open enrollment period or during a 60-day special enrollment period after a major life event. As a reminder, the open enrollment period for 2019 is this Friday.
