HOBBS STUDENTS FACING THEFT CHARGES AGAINST CLOVIS TEAM

HOBBS (KSMX) – High School hijinks turned criminal according to a report from the Hobbs Police Department. And now, a group of Hobbs High students are facing serious charges for stealing as much as $5,000 worth of items from their rival, the Clovis JV football team. The incident happened on October 25th on the night Hobbs hosted Clovis. An incident report says that the school surveillance system captured video of the four Hobbs students entering the portion of the locker room dedicated for the Clovis team in the second half of the game. Each student was interviewed and all denied involvement. Four iPhones and a pair of Beats headphones were stolen. None of the items have been recovered. The police department says it will pursue criminal charges based on the surveillance video.
