Hemp tour in Portales
PORTALES (KSEL)- Leaf & Tackle LLC is has announced and invited the surrounding Eastern New Mexico communities to the 2020 New Mexico True Hemp Tour at the NMSU Roosevelt County Extension Office in Portales, on March 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The 2020 Education forum is a dynamic venue developed to provide insight to farmers for the 2020 growing season, foster networking and support for the industrial hemp community. This venue will focus on the Root to Harvest program- reliable quality genetics, soil health, crop development, planning your season for profitability, hemp industry trends, and marketing channels to sell.
According to a press release from the Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce, the NMDA and USDA are invited to present their perspective 2020 season updates. The New Mexico hemp industry is still in its infancy with unique challenges, as a developing agricultural commodity.
