HEALTHY SOIL PROGRAM BILL PASSES COMMITTEE

SANTA FE (KSMX) – In the legislative update, a bill working to create a healthy soil program for New Mexico received support and passed the House Agriculture & Water Resources Committee. The bill, HB 204, would appropriate five million dollars to the New Mexico Department of Agriculture to administer, educate and work with ranchers and farmers throughout the state, ensuring the soil is the best it can be. The bill now heads to the House Appropriations and Finance Committee.
