HABITAT FOR HUMANITY WILL CELEBRATE THEIR 14TH HOME THIS SATURDAY

CLOVIS (KSMX)- Habitat for Humanity of Roosevelt & Curry Counties will celebrate the completion of its 14th home at a Dedication Ceremony this Saturday (June 29). The new homeowner, Faith Sosa, and her children will be there to meet and talk with all those who worked so hard and contributed so much to help them reach this goal. Faith and her extended family have performed more than 472 volunteer “sweat equity” hours working on this home and the homes of others as a requirement for becoming Habitat homeowners. Through donations of money and materials and volunteer labor, Habitat for Humanity of Roosevelt & Curry Counties was able to help this family build the home and will finance their purchase with an affordable mortgage. The family’s monthly mortgage payments will help sustain affordable housing opportunities in the area.
Habitat for Humanity of Roosevelt & Curry Counties has built a total of 14 homes, seven in Portales and seven in Clovis, since 1999. We are currently evaluating applications for the next qualifying Partner Family for the 15th house.
