GOV. LUJAN GRISHAM ANNOUNCES CARES ACT FUNDING

The State of New Mexico announced funds that would be allocated to local community small businesses. These funds, in the amount of $150 million, comes from the CARES act grants to cover the cost of necessary expenditures incurred due to the public health order. As reported this morning, Clovis received $4,260,000.00 for Small Business Grants in Partnership with Local Governments. Curry County received $322,163, with Roosevelt County receiving $239,625. Clovis also received $240,061.00 from the COVID-19 Emergency Grants to local governments from the State of New Mexico. As part of this grant, Curry County received $157,717, Roosevelt County received $50,000 and the City of Portales received $109,375. All requests for amounts less than $50,000 for direct local government grants were awarded in full.
