GAS REPORT- GAS PRICES INCREASE

CLOVIS (KSXM)- Gas prices have increased amid more expensive crude oil prices, robust demand and decreasing gasoline stocks. Summer driving season is in full swing, and as the weather warms up more people are hitting the roads for vacations and quick getaways. While drivers are paying more at the pump compared to the start of Summer, prices remain 25 cents below levels seen at this time last year.

The statewide gas price average in New Mexico is $2.59 for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel, according to the AAA New Mexico Weekend Gas Watch. That price is one cent less than this day last week and 25 cents less per gallon than this day last year.  The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.75 which is one cent less compared to this day last week and 13 cents less than the price per gallon on this day last year.
