FORMER PARMER COUNTY SHERIFF DEPUTY INDICTED IN FEDERAL COURT

AMARILLO (KSMX)- A former Parmer County Sheriff’s Department deputy has been indicted in federal court. Davin Waters, 25, was indicted Thursday on charges of Transportation of Minors with the Intent to Engage in Criminal Sexual Activity. A criminal complaint filed against Waters said there could be at least four victims.
Curry County investigators arrested Davin Waters of Farwell, Tx, on May 26th charging him with six counts of Criminal Contact with a Minor perpetrated on a child under 13 years old. It is claimed that Waters did unlawfully and intentionally touch a child on three separate occasions, beginning in December 2018, while in a bathroom at a church in Texico.
Waters was employed as a deputy sheriff in Parmer County, Texas but has since been terminated.
