FLIGHT FOR LIFE TRAINING
PORTALES (KSEL)- The Roosevelt County Electric Co-op participated in training involving a helicopter today. Spokesman, Cade Standifer, explained that because the linemen and service men who are working on power lines or any kind of equipment that can involve risks usually are seen in rural areas and when an incident happens there is less time in using a helicopter than ambulance when being taken to help. It is so important to make sure these employees are familiar with the helicopter equipment because there are just as many hazards when being airlifted. This training is an annual event for the department
