FEDERAL LAWSUIT IS FILED AGAINST THE CITY OF CLOVIS
CLOVIS (KSMX)- A federal lawsuit is filed earlier this month against the City of Clovis and multiple Clovis Police officers. The suit claims that earlier this year a Clovis officer used his K-9 officer to subdue a person during a welfare check.
According to KAMR, documents said the person the suit was filed for did not do anything to warrant being restrained. The plaintiff stated the other officer on scene did nothing to stop the first officer or the K-9 during the incident. One of the officers named in this lawsuit is also named in multiple other suits against the department in federal court.
