FATAL CAR ACCIDENT NEAR ELIDA
PORTALES (KSEL)- New Mexico State Police reported the death of a man who was killed yesterday morning a vehicle rollover south of Elida. Eastern New Mexico News reports that Wilber J. Charles, 68, of Las Cruces, was traveling east on N.M. 70, and lost control of his 2002 Ford near mile post 389. The vehicle then left the road, crashed through a fence and rolled.
Officials stated the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.
