EXECUTIVE MEETING SCHEDULED DURING BOARD OF EDUCATION CMS MEETING
CLOVIS (KSMX)- The Board of Education for the Clovis Municipal School District will meet today for their regular scheduled meeting at 5:30. During this meeting there will be topics such as the revision of the academic12-month calendar changing to a 238-day calendar as well as increasing the number of sick days eligible for rolling over to the next year. The board will then be reconvening to an executive session to discuss the matter of the superintendent personnel decision. The subject still remains as a hot topic because of the long reign we’ve seen from Jody Balch. Mr. Balch became superintendent for the Clovis Municipal Schools July 1, 2014 but had also served as the Deputy Superintendent of Operations since February 2012. Three finalists have been chosen for consideration including Deputy Director of Federal Programs for CMS, Renee Russ. The other three finalists include Rebecca Benedict and Gerry Washburn.
