Evacuations ordered in Ruidoso
KOAT Channel 7. —
A flash flood emergency has been issued for Ruidoso as heavy rain falls in burn scar areas.
Due to the flooding, the Cherokee Mobile Village and Gavilan Mobile Home Park are being evacuated as flood water is moving into those areas.
Flooding has also closed the following roads in the area:
- Highway 48 at Cedar Creek
- Ski Run Road at Winter Park
- Highway 70 at the travel center
- Paradise Canyon at Meander
- Gavilan Canyon Road between Meander and Sutton
