ENMWUA MEETING TODAY AT 1:00

CLOVIS (KSMX)- The Eastern New Mexico Water Utility board meets today as well at 1:00 pm. They will discuss recommendations from a contractor to remediate contamination from Cannon Air Force Base and private wells. Earlier this year, the U.S. Air Force announced that water in the area was contaminated with chemicals associated with past military firefighting activities resulting in heavy losses in a local dairy.

The City of Clovis also faces contamination in the Commerce and Prince area from a gas plume that was discovered in a past investigation.
