ENMUA TO HOLD FW2 GROUND-BREAKING CEREMONY

CLOVIS (KSMX) – The Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority announced that there will be a ground-breaking ceremony held tomorrow for the Finished Water Two, or FW2, construction. After meeting at noon at the ENMWUA offices in downtown Clovis, plans are to travel to the construction site for the official ground-breaking. FW2 is a seven-and-a-half-mile portion of the pipeline from northwest of Cannon Air Force Base (CAFB) and will continue south and east towards EPCOR’s water storage system/tanks located on Martin Luther King Boulevard and Brady Ave. The cost for the FW2 is estimated over 28 million.  The project will consist of a 33-inch and 16-inch transmission pipeline, connecting to Cannon Air Force Base’s water delivery system. The 33-inch pipeline will then continue east towards EPCOR’s water storage, which will connect to the Clovis water system. Members of the board may be attending, in which a quorum may be formed. No vote or action will be taken during the event.
