EASTERN NM RECEIVES CAPITAL OUTLAY FUNDING

SANTA FE (KSMX) – The deadline to sign or veto bills was Friday at Noon, with the Gov. signing more than 250 bills. Of those, was Capital Outlay funding for Curry, Roosevelt and Quay counties. The bill, SB 280 was signed by the gov. and provides the area with nearly $12 million in funding. A few projects funded in Curry County includes $1,000,000 for phase 3 of the 7th Street project, over $1,000,000 for road improvement projects in the county and $575,000 for the Clovis Main Street parking lot construction. In Roosevelt County, the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds ADA compliance received $100,000, $700,000 for infrastructure and safety upgrades at ENMU, $750,000 to improve the Greyhound Arena and $383,000 for numerous county roads. Quay county received $750,000 for road improvements.
