Ninth Judicial District Attorney, Andrea Reeb, announced that
on March 31, 2021, David Devenport, age 49, was sentenced to serve the remaining part of his sentence, nine years, in the New Mexico Department of Corrections. Devenport was serving probation for second degree felonies of Trafficking Controlled Substances which he committed in 2016.

The Honorable Drew D. Tatum presided over the hearing and heard testimony from the Adult Probation Office that Devenport continually missed appointments, failed to call in, and failed to get court ordered treatment. Judge Tatum stated that APO has worked harder than Devenport and time spending on those who don’t want help takes away from the others that do want the help. Judge Tatum revoked probation and sentenced Devenport to the remainder of his term of nine years in prison.

Nicholas Rossi, Assistant District Attorney, prosecuted the case for the State.  Elizabeth Han, criminal defense attorney, of Albuquerque, represented Devenport.
