Double Homicide in Curry County

The Clovis Police Department is investigating the homicide of two women and the abduction of an infant after the bodies of two women were discovered at Ned Houk Park, 5 miles north of Clovis.

A young female child was also found at the scene with a head injury and Clovis EMS administered Life Saving measures and transported the child to Plains Regional Medical Center. CPD said the child was later transferred to a Lubbock area hospital.

The female victims were identified as 23-year-old Samantha Cisneros and 23-year-old Taryn Allen, both from Texico, NM.

Cisneros was the mother to the young female child found at the scene and was also the mother to a 10-month-old child, Eleia Maria Torres – who officers are now trying to locate.

An Amber alert was issued for the 10 month old child and CPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating her.

According to KOAT Action 7 News out of Albuquerque, The FBI has found Eleia Torres alive, and has identified a suspect. No details about the suspect or where Torres was found have been released, and this story is still developing, and a press release has been scheduled for late Monday afternoon.

Clovis Police Department, working with multiple agencies including the FBI, have identified Alek Collins out of Houston, TX to be behind the crimes. He will be charged with two counts of first degree murder, kidnapping, and two counts of child abuse. He was apprehended in Abilene.

10 month old Eleia Torres is currently recovering from minor injuries at an undisclosed hospital; she remains in stable condition.
