DAMAGING WINDS MAKING THEIR WAY TO THE HIGH PLAINS

NEW MEXICO (KSMX) – Weather officials are again warning of a storm approaching our area that could bring strong winds of 30 to 40 mph, gusting 60+ at times. As the area is already dry, fire danger rises, as well as potential damage to small buildings, and high-profile vehicles. Visibility can also be reduced, as there is expected to be areas of blowing dust.The High Wind Watch is expected to be in effect until 9:00 p.m. tomorrow.
