CURRY COUNTY SENIORS TO TAKE PART IN NATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY
CURRY COUNTY (KSMX) – Tuesday is community service day in Curry County. It’s part of service day project around the nation. Locally, more than 120 senior volunteers and foster grandparents will serve at more than a dozen locations around the community including five elementary schools. Organizers say they are just trying to make the community a little better. The day is sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service, with support from the National League of Cities, the National Association of Counties, and Cities of Service.
