CURRY COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT HAS SCHEDULED THE FOLLOWING ROADS FOR CHIP SEALING

CLOVIS (KSMX)- The Curry County Road Department has scheduled overlay of chip seal for the Wheatridge, Double A Subdivision, CR9.5 from CRM to Conestoga and CRM from CR9 to CR9.5 roads. Work will begin on Monday on the east side of Wheatridge Estates.

These roads will not be closed but drivers are asked not to use these roads as much as possible during the following times.

Roads affected are:

  • Conestoga, Cottonwood, Frontier, Heritage, Historic, Homestead, Oxbow, Pioneer, Settler, Mustang, Skyline, Brionne, Bridle, Appaloosa, CRM from CR9 to CR9.5 and CR9.5 from CRM to Conestoga Monday, June 24, 2019 (7:45am – 4pm) Tuesday, June 25, 2019 (7:45am – 4pm) Wednesday, June 26, 2019 (7:45am – 4pm) Thursday, June 27, 2019 (7:45am – 4pm)

All drivers are asked to please seek an alternate route. Area residents are encouraged to schedule activities to minimize the use of these roads for three to four hours after the oil is applied. Driving on fresh oil not only damages the road but makes a mess of the vehicle.

Keeping the roads clear will help the Road Department complete this project in a timely manner.
