Curry County receives grant for “Keeping Curry County Clean and Beautiful”
CLOVIS (KSMX)- Curry County was awarded $8,500 by the New Mexico Clean & Beautiful (NMCB) grant to implement the litter control and beautification project “”Keeping Curry County Clean and Beautiful.”
According to the press release, this award was made available through the New Mexico Tourism Department. The mission of New Mexico Clean & Beautiful is to inspire and educate people to take action every day to improve and beautify their community environment.
The NMCB will help Curry County accomplish this mission by using the funds for planting trees at the Ranchvale Fire Department, planting trees at Curry County Fairgrounds, and facilitating litter clean-up events.
“In the long-term, we hope these projects will impact Curry County residents and community stakeholders and be an example for others to take action and make their own improvements.”
