CURRY COUNTY RAP AWARD RECIPIENTS
CURRY COUNTY (KSMX) – During their Legislative Conference held in Santa Fe last week, Curry County was presented by New Mexico Counties, a Risk Awareness Program Award. According to the release, the county completed its eighth year of the program, showing a 13% reduction in the number of workers’ compensation claims, 71% reduction in the number of law enforcement claims, and 16% reduction in the number of multi-line claims for 2018. The program is a workplace risk control education program, aiming to reduce the frequency and severity of county claims through better risk awareness and safety practices. This award is important in that as a result the county will see benefits on liability insurance rates and administrative cost savings for the County.
